PENSACOLA CONFEDERATE MONUMENT

The temporary restraining order stopping the City of Pensacola from removing its Confederate monument has been extended to August 24th. All parties agreed on the extension and it was approved by Federal Judge Casey Rogers. The case has now been transferred to federal court, which will now decide the case. Several groups filed a lawsuit on July 14th claiming the city violated multiple state and federal laws when the City Council voted to remove the monument.
