The Bay County Sheriff’s Office says a recent rise in accidental deaths and overdoses may be caused by a new, powerful narcotic. The Sheriff’s Office says the unknown substance has caused accidental overdose deaths, the latest on Monday. Although the victim was a known drug user, it remains unclear what illegal narcotic resulted in the accidental overdose. Samples of the narcotic, which was in powder form, were sent to a lab for testing.
