The Florida Highway Patrol says a 72-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in Navarre Saturday while attempting to cross State Road 189. Troopers say a driver was traveling north on SR 189 around 9 pm and did not see the man as he was crossing the road. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries where he was later pronounced dead.
