ESCAMBIA COUNTY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT CANDIDATES

The Escambia County School Board has narrowed the list of candidates for School Superintendent from 27 to 4. The finalists are Earl Johnson, a school administrator from Flagler County Florida; Keith Rittel, a superintendent from Provo, Utah; Timothy Smith, a director for Orlando-area high schools; and Keith Leonard, Escambia County’s current assistant superintendent for human resource services. The four finalists will be invited to visit the school district August 26^th through the 28th. On the 27th, the finalists will spend the day in interviews that will be live streamed and archived for public review. Whoever is appointed as superintendent will replace Malcolm Thomas, who retires in November.
