Northwest Florida officials and emergency management directors across the State of Florida took part in a conference call Friday to prepare for impacts from Storms Laura and Marco. Officials say preparations should be completed quickly and residents should have a plan that includes pets and personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and a disaster supply kit. Sand is also available in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties for those who wish to fill their own sand bags.
