REOPENING PENSACOLA COMMUNITY CENTERS

Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson said he is hoping that city facilities like community centers may be able to reopen by October. The Mayor said he will be meeting with local hospital officials on September 14th to evaluate the number of COVID-19 cases and use that information to help make a decision whether to reopen community centers and other city facilities that have been closed for the last two months. Pensacola closed community centers on July 10th because of the number of COVID-19. The Pensacola City Council hasn’t held a publicly-attended meeting since April and Robinson said in-person public meetings could also restart in October.
