PENSACOLA CONFEDERATE MONUMENT

The City of Pensacola is asking for bids to remove the Confederate monument from Lee Square on Palafox Street.  Bids are due back on September 24^th and the city will review the bids and select a contractor. The monument will then be taken to the port of Pensacola for storage, but a decision on where the statue will ultimately go has not yet been made.
