The Consumer Product Safety Commission says a 6-inch tall plush duck distributed by the Aflac insurance company as a promotional item is being recalled because it may pose a danger to children because the buttons on the Doctor Duck toy contain elevated levels of lead. 635,500 of the stuffed ducks were passed out between January 2005 and July 2020. While no injuries have been reported, lead can be toxic if ingested by young children or pets. No other Aflac promotional ducks are affected; the recall affects only those dressed as a doctor. Anyone with an Aflac Doctor Duck toy is urged to dispose of it.
