Escambia County is offering free sand for residents living in flood-prone areas on a first come, first served basis. Residents must bring their own sandbags and shovels. Sand will be available at 8 different locations around the county including:

Don Sutton Park on Crabtree Church Road in Molino

The Escambia County Road Department on Highway 297-A, in Cantonment

Travis M. Nelson Park on Highway 4, in Bratt

John R. Jones Jr. Athletic Park on East Nine Mile Road

Ferry Pass Middle School on Parazine Street off Olive Road

Brent Athletic Park on North “W” Street at Beverly Parkway

Equestrian Center on Mobile Highway in Beulah

Baars Field Athletic Park on Sorrento Road near Innerarity Point
