School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said Escambia County schools will be closed today while assessments and repairs are done. He said the most damage was sustained by one wing at Holme Elementary, which means some classes will be temporarily relocated. Pensacola State College will not resume classes until Monday, September 28th. The University of West Florida will be closed until Thursday. Santa Rosa County schools reopened yesterday as did Pensacola Christian and Pensacola Christian College.
