Emerald Coast Utilities Authority Public Information Officer Nathalie Bowers said ECUA may be running behind schedule by a day or so this week on trash and garbage collections. She said the delays are because of high collection volumes and because trucks fill up faster and need to make more trips to the landfill, taking more time to complete their route. The County’s contracted storm debris crews are also using the Perdido Landfill and all vehicles have longer wait times to enter and dispose of the materials at the landfill.
