COLD CASE MURDER ARREST

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says a 54-year-old woman has been arrested for a 2007 murder of a 42-year-old Pensacola woman.  Carolyn Antrim’s body was found in a wooded area on Lola Lane in Warrington. Her mother reported her daughter missing earlier that day. The investigation did not result in any arrests, but the Sheriff’s Office said during an annual review of this case, Investigator James Lee re-interviewed several people and conducted new interviews, which led to the arrest of Cheryl Burgett. She is charged with accessory after the fact. No further details about the case have been released and anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office or to call Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
