A national expert on what good, effective government looks like, will be at CivicCon today to share her insights. Valerie Lemmie is research director of the Charles F. Kettering Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to education and support of the concept of effective democracy. She served as city manager for the cities of Dayton and Cincinnati in Ohio, as well as the city of Petersburg, Virginia. Her presentation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight.
