BARGES REMOVED

Skanska U.S.A, the construction company building the new 3-mile Bay Bridge, has now removed 16 of the 23 barges that ran aground during Hurricane Sally, including three of the four barges left under the Bridge. Those barges did significant damage to the new bridge, requiring 7 spans to be fully or partially replaced, which could take 6 months.
