ESCAMBIA COUNTY DEBRIS COLLECTION

Escambia County completed the first round of Hurricane Sally debris removal this past Friday. Contractors expect it will take 90 days to finish the debris removal. Approximately 2,300,000 cubic yards of debris have been collected, equal to 380 football fields stacked three feet high. To help expedite the collection vegetative debris like tree limbs need to be separated from construction and demolition materials like drywall and carpet. Keep debris away from storm drains, low power lines, other utilities and mailboxes.
