CRASH OF NAVY TRAINING PLANE CONTINUES

The investigation into the fatal crash of a Naval training aircraft that killed two pilots is continuing and there are reports that the model of aircraft involved in the crash – the T-6B Texan II – has a history of safety issues. In 2017, The Air Force grounded its T-6s for about three weeks after pilots reported problems with the onboard oxygen generating system. The crash on Friday killed 26-year-old Ensign Morgan Garrett from Waxhaw, North Carolina, a 2019 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and 20-year-old Lieutenant Rhiannon Ross, of Wixom, Michigan.
