An automatic recount will be done in the race for the District 1 seat of the Pensacola City Council. The incumbent P.C. Wu, trails challenger Jennifer Brahier by just five votes. The recount will be done unless more mail-in ballots are counted or overseas military votes come in over the next 10 days. Brahier, is a professor of mathematics and statistics at Pensacola State College. Wu, a professor emeritus at the University of West Florida, was first elected in 2004.
