Assistant State Attorney Greg Marcille says U.S. Marshal’s and Okaloosa County deputies shot and killed a wanted fugitive at a Crestview McDonald’s yesterday morning. The fugitive – who has not yet been named – was wanted in Connecticut for kidnapping. It happened around 8:30 a.m. at the McDonald’s on Ferdon Boulevard as an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to arrest the armed suspect, who fired shots from a car in the parking lot. Law enforcement officers fired back and the suspect was killed. No officers were injured and an investigation is ongoing.
