STRANDED SPERM WHALE

The Dauphin Island Sea Lab says a 35-foot sperm whale was reported  stranded in Mobile Bay yesterday. The Alabama Marine Mammal Stranding Network, including the network veterinarian and biologists, are tending to the animal and monitoring its condition, but the prognosis is poor. The public is urged to keep their distance and not to fly drones over the whale which can add to its stress.
