PENSACOLA WOMAN SHOT BY FATHER

Pensacola Police say a woman was shot yesterday afternoon by her father after he pulled a gun on her boyfriend. Police say it happened just before 2 p.m. in the 3500-block of Newton Drive in Pensacola. The woman was shot in the hand as she struggled to take the gun away from her dad. The boyfriend declined to pursue charges and the father was taken into custody by police under the Baker Act, due to mental health issues.
