EMPLOYEE SUES CITY OF PENSACOLA

A Pensacola city employee is suing the city, saying she was discriminated against in her job in the city’s Sanitation Department because she is a woman. In her lawsuit Cindy Citarella said the city violated her civil rights when she was demoted from a supervisor to an office assistant. She said her bosses also made disparaging comments about working with women. Citarella’s lawsuit requests that she be reinstated to the position and be awarded back pay and punitive damages.
