ECUA TERM LIMITS BILL WITHDRAWN

Freshman State Representative Michelle Salzman has withdrawn a bill that would have imposed term limits for members of the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority. Her bill would have limited ECUA board members to three, four-year terms. Instead, Salzman and other legislators around the State will see how similar utilities operate and report back to the Legislature. The Escambia County Legislative Delegation had endorsed the bill at a January meeting, and Salzman said the withdrawal was done in partnership with Delegation Chair Senator Doug Broxson.
