A 17-year-old boy was killed Saturday in rural Iowa after being mistaken for a squirrel by another hunter. Officials reported that Carson Ryan was hunting near Iowa City when a member of his group fired, striking him in the back of the head around 3 p.m. He was taken to University Of Iowa Health Care Medical Center, where he later died.
