The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a 15-year old Crestview High School student has been arrested for writing or sending a threat to kill or injure, after a school resource officer was notified a girl had received threatening text messages from a freshman boy at the school threatening to shoot up the school. The student admitted sending the messages but said he did not really plan to shoot anyone and was feeling depressed at the time. Sheriff Larry Ashley stressed that the Sheriff’s Office has zero tolerance for threats of school violence.
