Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City announced yesterday they are now fully re-opened. The hospital recently passed a state health care agency inspection on the last nursing unit that was closed due to damage from Hurricane Michael. However, CEO Brad Griffin said the health care facility isn’t back at full staffing, but that over 70 people have been hired so far with more to go. Some patients have been sent to other facilities after Hurricane Michael since the hospital couldn’t always safely provide a space for surgeries, births and other needs.
