CRESTVIEW K-9 FUND-RAISER

Students at Walker Elementary School in Crestview spent more than a year raising money to help support the police department’s K-9 unit. The students sold popsicles, held pizza parties and participated in challenge competitions between classrooms. Elizabeth Springle a second-grade teacher at Walker Elementary presented Deputy Chief Lisa Sprague, K-9 Officer Josh Ellrick and his partner Officer “Hero” with a $2,000 check. Deputy Chief Sprague said the money will go toward equipment and supplies that aren’t covered by the city budget money.
