Florida lawmakers have approved more than 240 million dollars for hurricane-impacted counties in the state’s budget. The funds include 115 million to address the housing shortage; 25 million dollars in grant funding for needs such as infrastructure repair or beach nourishment; 12.4 million dollars for Bay District Schools; 9 million dollars for road and infrastructure in Bay County; 3 million dollars for Panama City to dredge Watson Bayou; 1 million dollars for Lynn Haven road repairs; 1 million dollars for Callaway for stormwater system repairs and road repairs; and $300,000 for Parker for building repairs, road safety, and parks.
