The Florida Department of Environment is investigating a sewage spill that occurred October 10th at the Holley-Navarre Water System’s treatment plant off Gordon Evans Road. The spill of 250 gallons of raw sewage happened when a pump truck, that had cleaned a lift station, dumped some on the ground. The spill was contained there. The DEP is conducting an investigation to decide whether corrective or enforcement actions should be taken against the utility.
