YELLOW RIVER BRIDGE REPAIRS

The Florida Department of Transportation will spend about 2 million dollars to make repairs to the two southbound lanes of the Yellow River Bridge on State Road 87. The project is expected to begin today and finish up in the spring of next year. Repairs will be made to the pilings and to the joints where the bridge decks connect. More than 11,000 vehicles travel the bridge each day and drivers can expect lane closures and traffic shifts during the work. Signs and channelization devices will direct boaters through the work zone.
