Most Escambia County employees have received a 3% pay raise. That includes employees hired by the Board of County Commissioners, except seasonal, temporary, contract and student workers. Escambia County fire, corrections and EMT employees received the raise even as the unions which represent them – The International Association of EMTS and Paramedics Local, International Association of Firefighters Local 4131, and Florida Police Benevolent Association – continue bargaining talks over other issues.
