Escambia County Tax Collector Scott Lunsford says the collection of the 2019 real estate and tangible personal property taxes started November 1st. This year’s rolls include 178,580 accounts totaling over 303 million dollars. Those who pay early will receive a discount – 4 percent in November payments are discounted four percent, 3 percent in December, two percent in January and 1 percent in February. March payments receive no discount, and the gross amount is due by close of business on March 31, 2019. Any payment made April 1 and after is considered delinquent and will be assessed a penalty.
