The former President of the Crestview Area Chamber of Commerce has been sentenced to three years in prison and ten years probation for stealing over $77,000 from the Chamber from November 2012 to September 2017. Valerie Lott was arrested in August 2018 for fraud and pleaded no contest to the charge. She was accused of using the Chamber’s Regions credit cards and checks, as well as cash withdrawals and forging the signatures of chamber members on checks. She used the money for a vacation to Disney World, to pay for veterinarian services for her dog and to make 48 purchases from Amazon.
