U.S. Attorney General William Barr and FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich say the shooting on the Pensacola Naval Air Station on December 6th was an act of terrorism carried out by a single shooter. Three American service members were killed and eight other people were wounded by 21-year-old Mohammed Al-Shamrani, a Saudi flight student. Al-Shamrani was killed by Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputies. Barr said the investigation revealed that he shared multiple anti-American and anti-Israel sentiments prior to the shooting and was motivated by jihadist ideology.
