Florida Senator Rick Scott continues to push for change for foreign military training programs and says the vetting process for foreign military students needs to be improved to prevent future situations like the shooting last December. Scott has proposed a bill called the “Secure U.S Bases Act” that would increase the monitoring of foreign military students training in the U.S., calls for special limited visas, and prohibits foreign students from owning firearms. The Senator also called for all Saudi students to be sent home until changes are made to the program.
