PERDIDO KEY DROWNINGS

Two weekend drownings occurred in the Perdido Key area. Dangerous water conditions also caused Pensacola Beach Lifeguards to make two rescues. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says the body of 43-year-old David Trammell was found Sunday morning after he was last seen at about 4 p.m. Friday. The body of 62-year-old Kevin Sigman was found near the Big Lagoon boat ramp after he was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. It appears both men drowned accidentally in waters not patrolled by Lifeguards. Pensacola Beach Safety Supervisor Dave Greenwood said most of the beaches on Perdido Key are privately owned and lifeguards only cover Johnson Beach in the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
