NAVY EVACUATES GUANTANAMO BAY 10-3-16

As Hurricane Matthew approaches Cuba, the Navy has ordered the evacuation of about 700 spouses and children from the Guantanamo Bay Navy Base. They are being flown to the Pensacola Naval Air Station and will here until it is safe to return. NAS Pensacola has places to house the families and the Fleet and Family Service Center counselors will be able to assist them. The remaining military and civilian personnel will stay in place and be able to supports recovery efforts after the storm passes.
