MID-BAY BRIDGE TOLL REDUCTION 10-25-16

The Mid-Bay Bridge that connects Destin and Niceville may soon see a reduction in its toll. Last year the toll was increased to four dollars, which resulted in a surplus and authorities say they have almost half of a million dollars more than they need to operate the bridge. Today, Executive Director for the Mid-Bay Bridge Van Fuller, said bridge authorities will discuss how to pass those savings onto drivers. He said they will look at reducing the rate on Sun Pass crossings, creating a year-long pass, or reducing the number of trips it takes to qualify for a frequent use pass.
