Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies surrounded a school bus on Guidy Lane at 10 Mile Road yesterday morning after receiving a tip there was possibly an armed person on the bus. Responding deputies said there was no armed person, however, a juvenile did tell them he had hidden a BB gun in some nearby bushes before boarding the bus and was planning to retrieve it after school.
