The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says a child was hospitalized after being accidentally shot in the leg last night. Investigators said a firearm accidentally discharged at a home on 49th Avenue in Myrtle Grove and the bullet struck the child in the leg. The injury is considered non-life-threatening and the investigation is continuing.
