WOMAN RUN OVER BY FLOAT 12-12-16

Pensacola Police report a woman was run over by a float at the Pensacola Christmas Parade Saturday night. Investigating officers say 59-year-old Miriam was at the beginning of the parade at Garden and Spring Streets about 5:40pm and not in barricaded area when she stepped into the street to pick up something thrown from the float. She may have been bumped from behind and fell into the path of the float which ran over the left side of her body. The parade was delayed for 30 minutes and the incident remains under investigation by the Pensacola Police Department.
