CHILD DIES IN FATAL ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING 12-12-16

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says young child died in an accidental shooting Friday night. Deputies responded to a home in the 2200 block of Brookpark Road, just off East Kingsfield Road, about 7:30 p.m. and found the child suffering from a gunshot wound. The child was taken to West Florida Hospital and was pronounced dead. The shooting appears to be accidental and remains under investigation.
