PEDESTRIAN FATAL FOLLOWUP 1-12-17

The Florida Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old has been charged with careless driving that resulted in the death of a pedestrian. Troopers say Sabra Stewart was northbound Highway 29 around 6pm Tuesday evening when she struck another car, which was slowing to make a turn. Several other vehicles were involved in the collision and 29-year-old Michael Bailey stopped and got out of his car to render aid. He was struck by a car driven by Joseph Spann and died from his injuries and several others were hospitalized. The FHP is continuing to investigate and anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
