DEPUTY-INVOLVED SHOOTING RULED JUSTIFIABLE 3-9-17

A shooting back in September, that involved two Escambia County deputies, has been declared legally justified. On September 9th, 2016, deputies were responding to a report of shots fired in a home on Rule Street. They tracked the suspect, Ke’Marius Tart, to a home on Figland Avenue where Tart pointed a gun at deputies and was shot. Tart survived the shooting and is facing numerous charges, including two charges of aggravated assault. He has since been released on bond from the Escambia County Jail.
