DESTIN DROWNING 4-5-17

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Department says a 49-year old Georgia man who tried to help his daughter and her friend in rough surf in the Gulf yesterday morning, drowned. The Sheriff’s Office said James Forsythe disappeared in the water around 11:30 a.m. after trying to rescue the girls. He was pronounced dead at the Destin Emergency Room. The two girls made it to shore safely.
