NEW LAWS

234 bills approved by the Florida Legislature in 2017 and most of the new laws went into effect July 1st, but several took effect January 1^st. They include Senate Bill 590, that makes changes in how Florida handles child time-sharing arrangements between unmarried or divorced parents, and Senate Bill 800, that requires health insurers and health maintenance organizations to offer “medication synchronization” to customers at least once a year to allow customers to align refill dates of prescriptions.
