DELAYED TRAFFIC DUI CRASH ARREST

The Florida Highway Patrol says the man who crashed into a light pole with his children in the vehicle last November had eight drinks at a Perdido Key bar before getting behind the wheel. 47-year-old Jeffrey Touzet, and his four children were all transported to the hospital following traffic crash on November 10^th after he lost control of his vehicle coming off the Theo Baars Bridge in Innarity Point and struck a light pole and the vehicle caught fire. A blood test showed Touzet had a blood alcohol content of .12. After an investigation a warrant was issued for Touzet’s arrest and he turned himself in on January 24^th. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail on two counts of DUI causing serious bodily injuries and two counts of DUI with a person under the age of 18 in the car.
