GARCON POINT BRIDGE PURCHASE

A bill filed by Florida State Representative Jayer Williamson would have the State buy the bridge from the bondholders and and cut tolls almost cut in half. Although the toll would be reduced to $2.00 taxpayers would be pay the cost to buy the bridge from the bondholders who own it now. Funds would come from the State Transportation Trust Fund and the Florida Department of Transportation would take ownership.
