77 candidates have applied for the Escambia County fire chief job in Escambia County. Local candidates Ferry Pass District Fire Chief Michael Aaron, Molino District Fire Chief Anthony Manning, current Pensacola Fire Chief David Allen, former Pensacola Fire Chief Matt Schmitt and former Pensacola Deputy Fire Chief Joseph Glover and current County Fire-Rescue lieutenants Daniel Akerman and Richard Bode. A selection committee meeting for the Escambia County fire chief position is scheduled for today at 8:30 a.m. to review applications.
