GULFVIEW HOTEL MOVE

The move of the two-story, historic Gulfview Hotel is scheduled for tomorrow night in Fort Walton Beach. Ducky Johnson House Movers, of Marianna, will move the Hotel about a third of a mile to its new destination at 115 Miracle Strip Parkway SE. The project will result in the temporary closure of both eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 98/Miracle Strip Parkway between Beal Parkway and Florida Place beginning at 9:00 p.m. tomorrow night. The 111-year-old Hotel will be converted into the first-ever Fort Walton Beach Welcome Center. The city is paying the moving company about $150,000.
