Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said his department participated in Operation Spring Cleaning, a six-month operation that involved 35 sheriff’s offices across Florida, and targeted drugs and firearms. Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies seized more than 23 pounds of illegal drugs, five illegal handguns and arrested 52 suspects. In total, 27,500 pounds of controlled substances were seized across the state, and more than 1,700 illegal firearms were recovered.
